Program Director

Overview:
BEC is hiring a Program director who will report to the Center Director, manage a team of Coaches and be responsible for growing and strategically supporting the BEC's diverse community of members. 

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the members' experience from first contact to becoming an active part of the BEC community,
  2. Design and execute the Coaches' interview process to ensure a high quality match between new Coaches and the community,
  3. Recruit and hire coaches in collaboration with the center director that are in line with the organization's finances.
  4. Strategically manage activities and operations in the local and global BEC communities to increase the number of connections, the level of mutual support and the amount of collaboration among members,
  5. Design and execute the Entrepreneurship Coaching Program ( including curriculum development and syllabus) that fuels the community with inspiration and hands-on knowledge for social change,
  6. Design and execute the Monitor and Evaluation framework to monitor effectiveness of curriculum and evaluate students’ performance and students' satisfaction. 
  7. Maintain strong working relationships with CIC staff and related organizations such as Venture Café Foundation, - Maintain strong working relationships with professional, academic, and governmental organizations (such as:  the City of Boston, MIT Entrepreneurship Center, MIT Venture Mentoring services, MIT e-club, MIT executive education, MIT institution affiliation and collaborators, Harvard Innovation Lab and other entrepreneurship education organizations and BEC business Partners.) 
  8. Ensure BEC operation mesh well with CIC processes,
  9. Establish relationships with key players in the region to create joint programs that create value for BEC members.
  10. design and execute financial strategies to promote BEC brand, programs and activities.  
Qualifications: 
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in a field related to Business, Entrepreneurship, Coaching or leadership training.
  • 5 year experience working in entrepreneurship education, business training.
  • Capable to do academic research of teaching methods, curriculum design, startups industry, and entrepreneurship skills.  
  • Have strong sensibilities of students’ needs and profound technical skills.
  • Highly initiated, team player with proficient oral and written English skills.    
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to strategically analyze the BEC community and identify specific actions to enable an increasing level of interaction and collaboration among the members.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Demonstrate extensive social/people skills.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and host events with a large, diverse audience (preferably experience with hosting Open Spaces, World Cafés and events applying similar techniques).
  • Knowledge and experience with entrepreneurship and social innovation (preferably through having been exposed to these environments for a prolonged period of time).
  • Knowledge and experience with shaping an organizational culture.
  • Affinity with technical tools that enable virtual community interaction.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and capitalize on them.
  • Familiar with the concepts of Art of Hosting and Systems Thinking.

Commitment:  
full time or part time (minimum 20 hours a week)
Salary:
$25000-$35000/year
